How to start earning
Earning Velocity Points can be so rewarding. To get started, follow these simple steps:
- Make sure you’re a Velocity Member! If you’re not, join free online now (it only takes a few minutes)
- Once you’ve joined, you’ll be given your unique Membership Number which you can start using straight away to earn Points. Keep an eye out in the mail for your new card within 3-4 weeks.
To check how your Points balance is tracking, simply Login to your Account!
Earn in the air
You’ll earn Points every time you fly with the V Australia, Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue as well as our Airline Partners - see the full list!
- Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue - you’ll earn at least 5 Velocity Points for every dollar you spend on your fare with these airlines.
- V Australia - you earn Velocity Points based on your fare type and miles flown. You can earn up to 2 Points per mile.
- Delta Air Lines, Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, Hawaiian Airlines, Malaysian Airlines, Skywest, Airlines PNG - you can earn Velocity Points when you fly with each of these airlines. Click on each airline to find out more.
When you fly, you could also collect Status Credits. The more Status Credits you collect, the higher up the Status ladder you go where a whole new world of perks await. Find out more about Status.
Earn on the ground
Not only do you earn Points in the air, you also earn Velocity Points whenever you stay or spend with any of Velocity’s Program Partners. This includes, accommodation, car hire, holidays, clothing - even your mobile phone bill. See a list of our Program Partners.
Quick tips to earning Points:
- Always give your Membership Number to our Program Partners.
- If you’ve used one of our Partners but forgotten to provide your Velocity Membership Number, you still might be able to claim your missing Points.
- Boost your Velocity Points balance by transferring points from your credit cards.
- Visit our Specials regularly to see any special deals and promotions from our Program Partners – they offer great ways to earn bonus Points.
