What are the benefits of Red Status?
When you first join Velocity, you automatically start with Red Status.
Red earns you 5 Velocity Points and 5 Status Credits for every dollar you spend on flights with Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue. You also earn Status Credits with V Australia*, based on the type of fare and miles flown.
If you earn enough Status Credits within your 12-month Qualification Period, your Status will rise to Silver or Gold, which also raises your earning power for both Velocity Points and Status Credits.
How do I earn Status Credits?
You can start earning Status Credits as soon as you join Velocity.
When you join online, you’re given a unique Velocity Membership Number. This is key to earning your Status Credits. Just be sure to provide your Membership Number whenever you book flights with Virgin Blue, V Australia*, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue.
Your Red Membership Card.
Keep your Membership Card handy and show it whenever you’re checking in. Your Card has information about your Status to help you keep track of important dates.

How do I check my Status Credit balance?
Just login and your Account will show your current Velocity Points balance and Status Credits balance.
How do I raise my Status?
To raise your Status Level from Red to Silver, you’ll need to earn 20,000 Status Credits within your 12-month Qualification Period, which starts the month you first joined Velocity.
If you earn 20,000 Status Credits sooner, you’ll rise to Silver straight away, where you’ll enjoy a whole new level of Status Benefits.
*V Australia flights are expected to commence December 2008, subject to regulatory approval.
